Dr. Tom Nyhan

Tom qualified in 1993 and has been practising in Dungarvan since 2002. He has an interest in child health and minor surgery. Tom looks after our patients in community hospitals and residential homes and has a special interest in palliative care and medicine for the elderly.

Dr. Sinead Wright

MB. Bch. BAO. MRCGP. DFFP.

A native of Dungarvan Sinead qualified in 1997 at UCD. She moved to New Zealand working for the Dunedin School of Medicine and gained experience working as first response in emergency. She did her GP training in the University of Bristol whilst undertaking research and teaching of undergraduates. She gained valuable experience in women’s health, osteoporosis and chronic disease management before returning home to practice in Dungarvan. She is a trainer in intrauterine contraception and has a special interest in pregnancy and diabetes management in primary care. She joined the practice in May 2013. Sinead is also a GP Trainer and looks after the Registrars in the practice.

 Dr. Tadhg De Barra

MB. Bch. BAO. MICGP. FRACGP.

Dr. Tadhg De Barra is a graduate of UCD and Sligo Vocational General Practice Scheme and is a member of the Irish College of GPs. He has an interest in Paediatrics, Men’s Health, Weight Management and Exercise Medicine. He has an interest in sports in Waterford, in kayaking and cycling, and was part of the 2016 Comeragh Ras team which passed through Dungarvan. Tadhg, who is a native of Waterford, says: “I’m very excited to join the High Street Medical Centre team and hope to continue the high standard of care delivered to our patients. Tadgh looks after our patients in the nursing homes.

Dr. Karen Murphy

MB Bch. BAO. MRCPI. DCH. MICGP.

Karen qualified as a GP in the South East GP Training Scheme and joined High Street Medical Centre in 2017. She has a special interest in Dermatology and is currently working towards a Dermatology Diploma under Cardiff University. Other interests include ENT, Paediatrics, Palliative Care and Contraception.

Dr. Emily Norris

BAO. Bch. BMEDSc. MICGP.

Emily attended UCC and graduated in 2008. She has since graduated from the South East GP Training Scheme in 2015. Emily also hold certificates in Contraception, LARC and Palliative Care from the ICGP. Her special interests  include women’s health.

Dr Ellen Hayes

MBChB. DRCOG. BSc. MICGP.

Ellen graduated from the University of Leicester in 2010 and was awarded membership to the Irish College of General Practitioners in 2018. She has completed a diploma in women’s health as well as certificates in contraception and in Long Acting Reversible Contraception. Ellen is currently part way through completing a Diploma in Child Health.
